বুধবার সকালে সেনা, জঙ্গি সংঘর্ষে উত্তপ্ত হয়ে উঠল জম্ম কাশ্মীরের বারামুলাা। বারামুলায় সেনা, জঙ্গি গুলির লড়াইয়ের জেরে এক সন্ত্রাসবাদীকে আটক করা হয়। তবে জঙ্গিদের সঙ্গে সেনা বাহিনীর সংঘর্ষে এক জওয়ান আহত হন বলে খবর মেলে। ফলে উত্তেজনা ছড়িয়ে পড়ে বারামুলা জুড়ে। শেষ খবর পাওয়া পর্যন্ত বারামুলার সুলতানপুরা কান্দি এলাকায় এখনও পর্যন্ত সেনা বাহিনীর সঙ্গে জঙ্গিদের লড়াই চলছে। কাশ্মীর জোন পুলিশর তরফে বারামুলায় সেনা, জঙ্গি গুলির লড়াইয়ের খবর প্রকাশ করা হয়। সেই সঙ্গে আরও জানানো হয়, বুধবার সকাল থেকে জঙ্গিদের সঙ্গে সেনা বাহিনীর যে লড়াই চলছে, তার জেরে বিপুল অস্ত্র উদ্ধার করা হয়।
