Sikkim Landslide: প্রবল বৃষ্টির জেরে দক্ষিণ সিকিমে ভূমিধস,এক মহিলা সহ অন্তত তিনজনের মৃত্যু (দেখুন ছবি)
এখনও অবধি পাওয়া তথ্য অনুসারে মাজুয়া্র ভূমিধসে কমপক্ষে এক মহিলা সহ তিন জনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে এবং সাতটি ঘর ধ্বংস হয়েছে । উদ্ধারকারী দল তিনজন মৃত নাগরিককে উদ্ধার করেছে।
দক্ষিণ সিকিমের ইয়াংগাং প্রদেশ-এর মাজুয়া গ্রামে প্রবল বৃষ্টিপাতের কারণে হঠাৎই সকাল ৬.৩০টা নাগাদ ধস নামে। এখনও অবধি পাওয়া তথ্য অনুসারে মাজুয়া্র ভূমিধসে কমপক্ষে এক মহিলা সহ তিন জনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে এবং সাতটি ঘর ধ্বংস হয়েছে । উদ্ধারকারী দল তিনজন মৃত নাগরিককে উদ্ধার করেছে। প্রশাসন সূত্রে খবর এখনও প্রায় ১২ জন পর্যটক নিখোঁজ রয়েছেন এবং বহু পর্যটক এই বিপর্যয় আটকে গেছেন বলে খবর পাওয়া গেছে। প্রবল বৃষ্টিতে আশেপাশের অন্যান্য গ্রামগুলিও ক্ষতিগ্রস্থ হয়েছে। ইয়াংগং-এর সঙ্গে সিসনি, নামফোকের সংযোগকারী প্রধান সড়কটি প্রবল জলের তোড়ে ভেসে গেছে।

Landslides claim two lives
Landslides broke out on Monday morning which swept away around eight houses in Majuwa village of Rangang-Yangang, South Sikkim. Two persons were killed and one is missing following the natural calamity.
