স্কুল পাঠক্রমে কেন গীতা থাকবে (Gita In School Syllabus)? এর ব্যাখ্যা দিতে গিয়ে কর্ণাটকের শিক্ষামন্ত্রী বিসি নাগেশ বলেন, “কোরান একটি ধর্মীয় গ্রন্থ যদিও গীতা তা নয়। এটি ঈশ্বরের উপাসনা বা কোনও ধর্মীয় অনুশীলনের কথা বলে না। এটি একটি নৈতিক বিষয়, যা শিক্ষার্থীদের অনুপ্রাণিত করে। এমনকী স্বাধীনতা আন্দোলনের সময় বিপ্লবীরা ইংরেজের বিরুদ্ধে লড়াই করার জন্য গীতা থেকে অনুপ্রেরণা পেতেন।”
