দেশের প্রাক্তন প্রধানমন্ত্রী অটল বিহারী বাজপেয়ীর আজ ৯৯ তম জন্মদিন। এদিন দেশজুড়ে বাজপেয়ীকে জন্মদিনের শ্রদ্ধা জানানো হয়। সন্ধ্যায় দিল্লিতে 'ভজন সন্ধ্যা' অনুষ্ঠানে বাজপেয়ির ছবিতে মালা দিয়ে শ্রদ্ধা শ্রদ্ধার্ঘ নিবেদন করেন রাষ্ট্রপতি দ্রৌপদী মুর্মু।
১৯২৪ সালের ২৪শে ডিসেম্বর জন্মগ্রহণ করেন বাজপেয়ী। তিন দফায় দেশের প্রধানমন্ত্রীর দায়িত্ব পালন করে তিনি মানুষের মন জেতেন। ২০১৮ সালের ১৬ই আগস্ট তিনি প্রয়াত হন।
