১১ ডিসেম্বর ১৯৩৫ জন্ম বীরভূম জেলার কীর্ণাহারের কাছে মিরিটি গ্রামে জন্ম প্রণব মুখোপাধ্যায়ের। ২০০১২ সালের ২৫ জুলাই প্রথম বাঙালি হিসাবে ভারতের রাষ্ট্রপতি হন প্রণব মুখোপাধ্যায়। ২০১৭ সাল পর্যন্ত এই দায়িত্ব পালন করেন তিনি। ২০১৯ সালে তিনি ভারতরত্ন পান।
আজ প্রাক্তন রাষ্ট্রপতি ভারতরত্ন প্রণব মুখোপাধ্যায়ের ৮৬তম জন্মবার্ষিকী (Pranab Mukherjee's 86th Birth Anniversary)। আজ উত্তরাখণ্ডের রাজভবনে তাঁর প্রতিকৃতিতে শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি দিলেন বর্তমান রাষ্ট্রপতি রামনাথ কোবিন্দ (President Ram Nath Kovind)।
