আজ সকাল থেকে শুরু হয়েছে ঝাড়খন্ড বিধানসভা নির্বাচনের প্রথম দফার ভোট। ক্ষমতাসীন ঝাড়খণ্ড মুক্তি মোর্চাকে টক্কর দিতে আসরে নেমেছে সব দলই। সকাল সকাল ভোট দিতে বেড়িয়ে পড়ছেন প্রার্থীরাও। ঝাড়খণ্ডের পূর্ব সিংভূম অঞ্চলের জামশেদপুর পূর্ব থেকে কংগ্রেস প্রার্থী ডঃ অজয় কুমার তাঁর ভোটদানের পূর্বে পুজো দেন হনুমান মন্দিরে।

কংগ্রেস প্রার্থী ডঃ অজয় কুমার বলেন, "আমি জামশেদপুরের মানুষের কাছ থেকে প্রচুর ভালবাসা পেয়েছি। সব জায়গা থেকে ভাল রিপোর্ট আসছে... এখানকার কর্মীরা আমাদের উৎসাহ দিয়েছেন..৩০ বছর ধরে, এখানে একটি পরিবারের সাম্রাজ্য অব্যাহত রয়েছে, যার বিরুদ্ধে আমরা লড়াই করছি এবং আমরা সেই লড়াই চালিয়ে যাব।"
