নয়াদিল্লি: আন্তর্জাতিক স্পেস স্টেশনে (ISS) গিয়ে ৯ মাসেরও বেশি সময় ধরে আটকে থাকা ভারতীয় বংশোদ্ভুত মার্কিন মহাকাশচারী সুনীতা উইলিয়ামস (Sunita Williams) এবং বুচ উইলমোর (Butch Wilmore) অবশেষে পৃথিবীতে ফিরছেন। তাঁরা ২০২৪ সালে ৫ জুন স্টারলাইনার মহাকাশযানে চড়ে মহাকাশ স্টেশনে ভ্রমণ করেছিলেন। মহাকাশযানের সমস্যার কারণে, পরিকল্পনা অনুযায়ী পৃথিবীতে ফিরে আসতে পারেননি, ইতিমধ্যে একাধিকবার তাঁদের ফেরানোর চেষ্টা সত্ত্বেও ব্যর্থ হয়েছে।
অবশেষে নাসা জানিয়েছে, আইএসএস-এ আটকে থাকা বুচ উইলমোর এবং সুনীতা উইলিয়ামস আজ রাতে পৃথিবীতে ফিরে আসবেন। ড্রাগন মহাকাশযানের হ্যাচ ক্লোজার প্রস্তুতি শুরু হয়েছে, ভারতীয় সময় আগামীকাল ভোর ৩:২৭ মিনিটে অবতরণ করার কথা রয়েছে। দীর্ঘ সময় ধরে মাইক্রোগ্রাভিটিতে থাকার ফলে মহাকাশচারীদের দেহ পৃথিবীর মাধ্যাকর্ষণের সঙ্গে খাপ খাইয়ে নিতে কয়েক সপ্তাহ বা তারও বেশি সময় নিতে পারে।
