সোমবার লোকসভায় (Lok Sabha) কংগ্রেসকে কার্যত তুলধনা করলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী (Narendra Modi)। জবাবি ভাষণে মোদীর বেনজির আক্রমণের শিকার হল কংগ্রেস (Congress)। এদিন প্রধানমন্ত্রীর কণ্ঠে তৃতীয়বার সরকার গঠনের আত্মবিশ্বাস স্পষ্ট। বললেন, 'আমাদের সরকারের তৃতীয় কার্যকাল শুরু হতে বেশি দেরি নেই। খুব বেশি হলে ১০০-১২৫ দিনের অপেক্ষা'। লোকসভা নির্বাচনের আগে ভারতীয় জনগণের ভাবমূর্তি দেখে মোদীর পর্যবেক্ষণ, 'এনডি জোট ৪০০-র বেশি আসন পাবে। তার মধ্যে বিজেপির থাকবে ৩৭০ আসন'। বিজেপি সাংসদদের তালির গুঞ্জনে ভরে ওঠে সংসদ কক্ষ।
