দেশজুড়ে চলছে ষষ্ঠ দফার লোকসভা নির্বাচন। দিনের শুরুতেই একাধিক কেন্দ্রীয় মন্ত্রী, রাজনৈতিক নেতা ভোট দিয়েছেন। বেলা গড়াতেই ভোট দিলেন রাষ্ট্রপতি দ্রৌপদী মুর্মু (Droupadi Murmu) এবং উপ-রাষ্ট্রপতি সস্ত্রীক জগদীপ ধনখড় (Jagdeep Dhankhar)। এদিন দিল্লির রাষ্ট্রপতির এস্টেটে রাজেন্দ্র প্রসাদ কেন্দ্রীয় বিদ্যালয়ে গিয়ে ভোট দিলেন রাষ্ট্রপতি। অন্যদিকে, দিল্লির নর্থ অ্যাভিনিউয়ে সিপিডব্লুউডি সেন্টারে স্ত্রী সুদেশ ধনখড়ের সঙ্গে ভোট দিতে দেখা গেল উপ রাষ্ট্রপতিকে। ভোট দিয়ে জগদীপ ধনখড় জানান, "ভারত এখন প্রাণবন্ত এবং কার্যকর গণতন্ত্রের উৎসব চলছে এবং এটি বিশ্বের জন্য একটি উদাহরণ।"
