চিলি Chile)-তে ভয়াবহ অ্যাবিয়ান ফ্লু- (Avuian Flu)-র হানা। এর ফলে সেখানকার মোট ৯ হাজার সি লায়ন (Sea Lion), পেঙ্গুইন (Penguin), ওর্টাস (Otters) তিমি জাতীয় প্রাণী (cetaceans)-দের মৃত্যু হল। চিলির উত্তর উপকুলে মৃত পেঙ্গুইন, সি লায়ন, মোট ৯ হাজার সামুদ্রিক জীব ভেসে এসে সেখানে জড়ো হয়। মৃত সামুদ্রিক জীবদের দেহ ময়নাতদন্তের পর নিশ্চিত করা হয়েছে, তারা অ্য়াবিয়ান ফ্লু-র কারে মারা গিয়েছে।
