আজ গোটা দেশে পালিত হচ্ছে পঞ্চায়েত রাজ দিবস, সেই দিবস উপলক্ষে দেশবাসীকে শুভেচ্ছা জানিয়েছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী। গ্রামীণ ভারতের চেহারা বদলে দেওয়ার জন্য স্থানীয় স্তরে যারা কাজ করছেন তাদেরকেও শুভকামনা জানিয়েছেন তিনি।

১৯৯৩ সালের ৭৩তম সাংবিধানিক সংশোধনী আইন দ্বারা পঞ্চায়েত রাজকে সাংবিধানিক করা হয়েছিল। সেই বার্তা মনে করিয়ে দিয়ে প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী টুইট করেছেন যে সরকার দেশে পঞ্চায়েত রাজ প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলিকে শক্তিশালী করতে কাজ চালিয়ে যাবে।পঞ্চায়েত রাজ দিবসে কী বললেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী মোদী।
