থানের যে মীরা রোডের যে ফ্ল্যাটে লিভ-ইন-পার্টনার সরস্বত বিদ্যাকে খুন করে মনোজ সাহানি, সেখানে হাজির হল ফরেন্সিক দল। মনোজ সাহানি এবং সরস্বতী বিদ্যা যে ঘরে থাকত, সেখানকার সমস্ত জিনিষ খুঁটিয়ে পরীক্ষা করবেন পরেন্সিক দলের সদস্যরা। প্রসঙ্গত মীরা রোডের ওই ফ্ল্য়াটে প্রেমিকা সরস্বতীকে খুনের পর তাঁর দেহাংশ টুকরো করে মনোজ সাহানি নামে বছর ৫৬-র এক ব্যক্তি। একত্রবাসের সঙ্গীকে খুনের পর তাঁর দেহাংশ টুকরো করে প্লাস্টিকে এবং ঘরের বাসনপত্রে ভরে রাখে মনোজ। এমনকী গ্রেফতারি এড়াতে মনোজ সরস্বতীর দেহ টুকরো এবং সেদ্ধ করে, তার কিছুটা অংশ রাস্তার কুকুরকেও খাইয়ে দেয় বলে পুলিশের প্রাথমিক অনুমান।
