বেশ কয়েক বছরের সম্পর্কের পর বান্ধবীকে জোর জবরদস্তি গর্ভপাত করালেন এক যুবক। বেঙ্গালুরুর (Bengaluru) বাসিন্দা এক ব্যক্তির বিরুদ্ধে এই ধরনের অভিযোগ উঠলে, পুলিশ এফআইআর করে। রিপোর্টে প্রকাশ, বেঙ্গালুরুর বাসিন্দা ওই যুবক গর্ভপাত করানোর জন্য প্রেমিকাকে জোর জবরদস্তি শুরু করে। ঘটনার পরপরই ওই তরুণী নিজের সোশ্যাল মিডিয়া হ্যান্ডেলে সমস্ত কিছু জানান। শুধু তাই নয়, জোর করে গর্ভপাতের ঘটনার বর্ণনা দিয়ে তা কর্ণাটকের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী সিদ্দারামাইয়া, উপমুখ্যমন্ত্রী ডি কে শিবকুমার এবং হাসানা থানা এবং বেঙ্গালুরুর পুলিশ কমিশনারেটকে ট্যাগ করেন। এরপরই পুলিশ বিষয়টির খোঁজ শুরু করে। অভিযুক্ত যুবকের খোঁজে পুলিশ তল্লাশি শুরু করেছে।
