নাবালক ছাত্রের সঙ্গে যৌন সম্পর্কে লিপ্ত হওয়ায় এবার এক শিক্ষককে যাবজ্জীবন কারাদণ্ডের নির্দেশ দিল আদালত। কর্ণাটকের একটি ফৌজদারি আদালতের তরফে ওই শিক্ষকের যাবজ্জীবন কারাদণ্ডের নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়। জানা যায়, নাবালক ছাত্রের সঙ্গে জোর করে যৌনতায় লিপ্ত হওয়ার অভিযোগেই ওই শিক্ষকের যাবজ্জীবন কারাদণ্ডের শাস্তি ঘোষণা করা হয়। পকসো আইনে ওই শিক্ষকের শাস্তির ঘোষণা করা হয়। সেই সঙ্গে ২৫ হাজার টাকা জরিমানার নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়। পাশাপাশি অভিযুক্তকে ১ লক্ষ টাকা জরিমানা ভরতে হবে বলে জানানো হয় কর্ণাটকের আদালতের তরফে।
