সামাজিক বয়কটের অভিযোগে আত্মহত্যার ঘটনা ঘটল কর্ণাটকের চামারাজনগরে। ঘটনার জেরে ১৭ জনের বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগ দায়ের করেছে পুলিশ। ঘটনার জেরে ব্যক্তির পরিবার, বন্ধুরা বেগুর পুলিশ স্টেশনের সামনে প্রতিবাদ জানায় এবং অভিযুক্তদের গ্রেফতারের দাবি জানাই।
তবে ১৭ জনের নামে অভিযোগ দায়ের করা পরে পুলিশ স্টেশনের সামনে থেকে বিক্ষোভ তুলে নেয় মৃতের পরিবার ও পরিজনেরা।
