জাল্লিকাটটুতে ব্যবহত যাড়দের ডেটা ব্যাঙ্ক তৈরি করতে এবার ইউনিক আইডি সিস্টেম ব্যবহার করতে চলেছে তামিলনাড়ুর সরকার। এই পদ্ধতিতে এবার ষাড়ের নাকের ওপর প্রিন্ট করানোর ব্যবস্থা থাকছে।যে কারণে সহজেই চিহ্নিত করা যাবে ষাড়গুলিকে।
প্রতিবছর প্রায় ১৬ হাজার থেকে ১৯ হাজার ষাড় জাল্লিকাট্টুতে অংশগ্রহন করে। তামিলনাড়ুতে অত্যন্ত জনপ্রিয় এই খেলাটি। তবে অনেক সময় খেলার মধ্যেই হতাহতের ঘটনাও দেখতে পাওয়া যায় ।
