ভারত এবং শ্রীলঙ্কার মধ্যে টি-টোয়েন্টি সিরিজ শেষ হওয়ার পরে, এখন উভয় দলই ৩টি একদিনের ম্যাচে মুখোমুখি হওয়ার জন্য প্রস্তুত। নির্ধারিত ক্রিকেট সূচী অনুযায়ী প্রথম একদিনের ম্যাচটি হবে আগামী ১০ জানুয়ারী গুয়াহাটির বারসাপাড়া ক্রিকেট স্টেডিয়ামে। এই উপলক্ষ্যে আসাম সরকার ম্যাচের দিন রাজ্যের বাসিন্দাদের জন্য অর্ধদিবস ছুটি ঘোষণা করল। যাতে সেখানকার জনসাধারণ নিজের রাজ্যে হওয়া ম্যাচ দেখে উপভোগ করতে পারে।
