বিজেপিতে (BJP) যোগ দিতে চলেছে পঞ্জাবের প্রাক্তন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী অমরিন্দর সিংয়ের (Amarinder Singh) স্ত্রী প্রীণিত কৌর (Preneet Kaur)। জানা যাচ্ছে, বৃহস্পতিবার দিল্লিতে বিজেপির সদর দফতরে যাবেন তিনি। বহিস্কৃত কংগ্রেস সাংসদের বিজেপিতে যাওয়ার সম্ভাবনা বেশ কয়েকবছর ধরেই ছিল। এমনিতেই তাঁর স্বামী অমরিন্দর সিং বেশ কয়েকবছর হল কংগ্রেস ছেড়ে বিজেপিতে যোগ দিয়েছিলেন। আর তারপরেই দলের অন্দরে একঘরে হয়ে গিয়েছিলেন প্রীণিত। সামনেই লোকসভা নির্বাচন, ফলে তিনি যে পাটিয়ালা লোকসভা কেন্দ্র থেকে কংগ্রেস হয়ে টিকিট পেতেন না বলেই মনে করছিলেন অনেকে। তাই আগেভাগেই কংগ্রেস ছেড়ে বিজেপিতে যোগ দিয়েছেন।
