নয়াদিল্লিঃ মহিলা,শিশু এবং বৃদ্ধদের সুরক্ষায় অভিনব উদ্যোগ গুজরাট সরকারের (Gujarat Government) । গতকাল, অর্থাৎ ২২ জুলাই আমদেবাদের Ahmedabad)রাস্তায় বসল 'ইমারজেন্সি কল বক্স (Emergency Call Box)।' মূলত মহিলা, বৃদ্ধ এবং শিশুদের কথা মাথায় রেখেই এই বিশেষ ব্যবস্থা করা হয়েছে। রাস্তায়-রাস্তায় (Road) বসানো হয়েছে এই বক্স। কোনওরকম বিপদে পড়লেই এই যন্ত্রের মাধ্যমে তাঁরা সংশ্লিষ্ট হেল্পলাইন নম্বরে ফোন করে সাহায্য চাইতে পারবেন। আমেদাবাদের একাধিক রাস্তায় বসেছে এই 'ইমারজেন্সি কল বক্স।' গোটা শহরের রাস্তায় এই বিশেষ যন্ত্র বসানোর পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে সরকারের মাথায়।
