নয়াদিল্লিঃ মৌনী অমাবস্যা(Mauni Amavasya) উপলক্ষে দিল্লির যমুনা নদীতে চলছে পুণ্য স্নান। মহাতিথিতে পুণ্য স্নানের জন্য যমুনার ঘাটে হাজির হয়েছেন শয় শয় পুণ্যার্থী। চারিদিকে ভাসছে ফেনা। তবে সে সব তোয়াক্কা না করে দূষিত যমুনাতেই ডুব দিয়েই পুণ্য স্নানের পর্ব সারছেন ভক্তরা। প্রসঙ্গত, অন্যদিকে এই পুণ্য স্নানকে ঘিরে মহাকুম্ভে ঘটে গিয়েছে বিপত্তি। ত্রিবেণী সঙ্গমে পুণ্য স্নানে অংশ নিতে গিয়ে পদপিষ্ট হয়ে মৃত্যুর ঘটনা ঘটেছে।
