নির্বাচনে প্রচারের সময় প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছিল কংগ্রেস। ক্ষমতায় আসার পর তা পূরণ করল। শুক্রবার কর্নাটকে হিজাবের উপর যে নিষেধাজ্ঞা জারি করা হয়েছিল তা তুলে নিল সিদ্দারামাইয়ার সরকার।
