Chief Justice Of India: দেশের ৫২তম প্রধান বিচারপতি বিআর গাভাই, প্রথা মেনে নিয়োগ করলেন রাষ্ট্রপতি দ্রৌপদী মুর্মু
দেশের ৫২তম প্রধান বিচারপতি হতে চলেছেন (Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai)। আগেই ঠিক হয়ে গিয়েছিল সুপ্রিম কোর্টের প্রধান বিচারপতি হচ্ছেন ভূষণ রামকৃষ্ণ গাভাই। মঙ্গলবার প্রথা মেনে পরবর্তী প্রধান বিচারপতিকে নিয়োগ করলেন রাষ্ট্রপতি দ্রৌপদী মুর্মু (President Draupadi Murmu)। আগামী ১৪ মে দেশের প্রধান বিচারপতি হিসাবে শপথ নেবেন বিআর গাভাই। ঠিক তার আগের দিন, ১৩ মে অবসর নেবেন শীর্ষ আদালতের বর্তমান প্রধান বিচারপতি সঞ্জীব খান্না। মঙ্গলবার রাতে কেন্দ্রীয় আইন প্রতিমন্ত্রী অর্জুন রাম মেঘওয়াল এই বিষয়ে জানান।
