দীর্ঘ ছয় বছরেরও বেশি সময় সুপ্রিম কোর্টের বিচারপতি হিসাবে কাজ করার পর, বুধবার (৯ নভেম্বর) ভারতের ৫০তম প্রধান বিচারপতি হিসাবে শপথ নিলেন বিচারপতি ডি ওয়াই চন্দ্রচূড়। আগামী দুই বছর তিনি এই পদে থাকবেন। তার শপথ গ্রহণের অনুষ্ঠানের পরেই তাঁকে শুভেচ্ছা জানান প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি।
