বৃহস্পতিবার সন্ধে থেকেই প্রবল ঝড়বৃষ্টি শুরু হয়েছে বেঙ্গালুরুতে। আর এরমধ্যেই মর্মান্তিক পথ দুর্ঘটনা ঘটল কাঠরিগুপ্পে মেইন রোডে (Kathriguppe Main Road) ৪৩এ বাস স্ট্যান্ডের কাছে। চলন্ত অটোতে আচমকাই পড়ল আস্ত একটি গাছ। আর তাতেই মৃত্যু হল অটোচালকের। এদিন ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে সন্ধে সাড়ে সাতটা নাগাদ। দুর্ঘটনার পর তড়িঘড়ি অটোচালককে উদ্ধার করে হাসপাতালে নিয়ে গেলে চিকিৎসকরা মৃত বলে ঘোষণা করেন। পুলিশসূূত্রে খবর, মৃত চালকের নাম মহেশ (৪৫), তিনি ইত্তামাডু এলাকার বাসিন্দা। মহেশের মৃত্যুতে শোকস্তব্ধ পরিবার।
