অসম সফরে যাচ্ছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী। হিমন্ত বিশ্বশর্মা-র রাজ্যে প্রধানমন্ত্রী সফরকে কেন্দ্র করে সাজো সাজো রব। এর মধ্যে আবার বৃহস্পতিবার, ২৮ এপ্রিল মোদীর সফরের কারণে অসমের দুই জেলা ডিব্রুগড় ও কার্বি আংলংয়ে সরকারী ছুটি ঘোষণা করা হল। প্রধানমন্ত্রীর সফরের জন্য অসমের এই দুই জেলায় বৃহস্পতিবার সমস্ত সরকারী প্রতিষ্ঠান-অফিস, শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান বন্ধ রাখা হবে বলে সরকারী নির্দেশিকা জারি হল। মোদীর সফরের কারণে অসমের সরকারী ছুটির ঘোষণায় বিতর্ক তৈরি হয়েছে।
