১৭ ফেব্রুয়ারি ডিব্রুগড় কেন্দ্রীয় কারাগারে বন্দী 'ওয়ারিস পাঞ্জাব দে'-এর প্রধান অমৃত পাল সিং-এর হেফাজত থেকে মোবাইল ফোন এবং একটি স্পাই ক্যামেরা সহ আপত্তিকর সামগ্রী উদ্ধার করা হয়েছিল।
ডিব্রুগড় সেন্ট্রাল জেলের সুপারিনটেনডেন্ট নিপেন দাসকে গ্রেফতার করল ডিব্রুগড় পুলিশ। খবরের সত্যতা স্বীকার করে গ্রেফতারের কথা জানান ডিব্রুগড়ের এসপি ভিভিআর রেড্ডি। ১৭ ফেব্রুয়ারি ডিব্রুগড় কেন্দ্রীয় কারাগারে বন্দী 'ওয়ারিস পাঞ্জাব দে'-এর প্রধান অমৃত পাল সিং-এর হেফাজত থেকে মোবাইল ফোন এবং একটি স্পাই ক্যামেরা সহ আপত্তিকর সামগ্রী উদ্ধার করা হয়েছিল। এই ঘটনায় তদন্ত শুরু হয়। তারপরেই এই গ্রেফতার।
