কালামের পরিবার আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে তাঁর ব্যক্তিগত নথি ভারতের জাতীয় সংরক্ষণাগারে জমা করেছে।

২৮ এপ্রিল কালামের পরিবার আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে তাঁর নথি জমা দেয় এবং দিল্লিতে ভারতের জাতীয় সংরক্ষণাগার (National Archives of India) এর সঙ্গে একটি চুক্তি স্বাক্ষর করে। উপস্থিত ছিলেন কালামের ভাগ্নী এপিজেএম নাজিমা মারাইকায়ার এবং তাঁর নাতি শেখ সেলিম এবং শেখ দাউদসহ পরিবারের সদস্যরা। এই সংগ্রহটি ব্যক্তিগত আর্কাইভ বিভাগে যোগদান করবে, যেখানে NAI বিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তিদের কাগজপত্র সংরক্ষণ করে।
