দ্য কেরালা স্টোরি (The Kerala Story) মুক্তির আগে থেকেই তা নিয়ে জোরদার বিতর্ক শুরু হয়। আদা শর্মার সিনেমা নিয়ে বিতর্ক চরমে ওঠে ছবি মুক্তির পর। বিষয়টি নিয়ে এবার মুখ খুললেন বলিউডের বর্ষীয়ান অভিনেত্রী শাবানা আজমি (Shabana Azmi )। শাবানা বলেন, যাঁরা আমির খানের লাল সিং চাড্ডা নিয়ে আপত্তি তোলেন, তাঁরাই ফের কেরালা স্টোরি নিষিদ্ধর দাবি তুলছেন। কোনও সিনেমা একবার সিবিএফসি থেকে শংসাপত্র পেয়ে গেলে,তা কেউ রুখতে পারে না বলে সওয়াল করেন শাবানা।
