কর্ণাটকের পাঁচবারের বিধায়ক ইউটি খাদের সামলেছেন বিভিন্ন মন্ত্রক
কর্ণাটকের বিধানসভার স্পিকার নিযুক্ত হচ্ছেন প্রাক্তন মন্ত্রী তথা পাঁচ বারের কংগ্রেস বিধায়ক ইউ টি খাদের। স্পিকার পোস্টের জন্য আজই মনোনয়ন দাখিল করতে পারেন তিনি। যদিও তাঁর পাশাপাশি কংগ্রেস নেতা আর ভি দেশপাণ্ডে এবং এইচ কে পাটিলের নামও উঠে আসছে স্পীকারের জন্য।
তবে বেশিরভাগই এই পদের জন্য সেভাবে আগ্রহী না হওয়াতেই কংগ্রেস বেছে নিয়েছে খাদেরেরে নাম।
২০১৩ সালে সিদ্দারামাইয়ার সরকারের সময় স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রীর দায়িত্ব সামলেছিলেন তিনি। পরবর্তীতে সামলেছেন খাদ্যদফতর।২০১৮ কংগ্রেস জেডিএস জোট সরকারের সময় খাদের সামলেছিলেন গৃহ এবং নগোরন্নয়ন মন্ত্রক।
